December 10, 2024 – Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), one of India’s leading telecom providers, has partnered with Tejas Networks in a three-year contract to enhance its backhaul capacity and improve network performance. The collaboration aims to support Vodafone Idea’s nationwide 4G and 5G expansion.
Under the agreement, Tejas Networks will supply its state-of-the-art TJ1400 and TJ1600 packet and optical transmission products, enabling VIL to handle rising data traffic efficiently across its telecom circles.
Jagbir Singh, CTO of Vodafone Idea, highlighted the importance of upgrading the backhaul network to manage increasing bandwidth demands. He stated, “We are pleased to welcome Tejas Networks as our wireline network partner. Their advanced PTN and OTN products will be instrumental in delivering a superior service experience for our customers.”
