Venus Remedies Expands ASEAN Reach with Key Malaysian Accreditation

Pioneering Global Business Growth

Chandigarh, November 5, 2024 – Venus Remedies Limited, a top exporter of generic drugs to over 80 countries, has reached a major regulatory milestone. The company has received Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) approval, alongside Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) accreditation, from Malaysia’s National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) for its advanced pre-filled syringe (PFS) facility in Baddi.

This is the first PIC/S GMP certification for Venus Remedies’ PFS facility. It adds to the company’s existing GMP accreditations from over 25 global regulatory authorities, including the World Health Organization, the European Union, and Saudi Arabia.

Opening Global Doors

The NPRA’s PIC/S certification paves the way for quicker approvals from other PIC/S member nations. This achievement is expected to enhance Venus Remedies’ reach in new markets and meet the growing demand for enoxaparin, a popular anticoagulant used for treating blood clots.

With an annual production capacity of over 20 million enoxaparin units, Venus Remedies is well-positioned for global growth. The worldwide enoxaparin market, valued at $3,315 million in 2023, is projected to grow to $5,415 million by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.1%.

The approval followed a stringent six-month audit, underscoring Venus Remedies’ robust compliance with international manufacturing standards.

Growing International Presence

Aditi Chaudhary, President of International Business at Venus Remedies, celebrated the certification as a milestone in the company’s global expansion efforts. “This accreditation reflects the dedication of our teams. We are ready to extend our footprint and bring high-quality medicines to more markets, ensuring better healthcare access globally.”
