TRAI Launches Upgraded Website to Boost Transparency and Engagement

New features focus on accessibility, public participation, and social media integration

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has unveiled its upgraded website, available at https://trai.gov.in/, to enhance connectivity with a broader audience. With a focus on transparency and engagement, the redesigned platform introduces several user-friendly features tailored to the needs of stakeholders, researchers, and the public.

The revamped website offers comprehensive access to telecom and broadcasting regulations, policies, statistics, and trends in India. It now includes a dynamic dashboard for telecom and broadcasting data, a grid view for interactive data visualization, and downloadable datasets for research purposes.

To support social media dissemination, users can share documents and updates via platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, X, and more. The website also enables online registration for updates, participation in Open House Discussions, and a blog with user comment capabilities.

Further enhancements include compliance with accessibility standards, concise regulation summaries, and a chatbot named “TARA” (Telecom Authority Responsive Advisor) for interactive search support. Additionally, the website now provides information on upcoming events and tenders.

The new platform, hosted on the NIC Cloud, will run concurrently with the old website for three months post-launch, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
