Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a leading renewable energy player and subsidiary of Tata Power, has successfully commissioned its 431 MW DC solar project in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. This landmark project integrates single-axis solar trackers and bi-facial modules, boosting efficiency by over 15%.
The installation, spanning 1,635.63 acres, employs 560 Wp and 565 Wp bifacial glass-to-glass modules. It is estimated to offset 7,80,300 tonnes of CO₂ annually, underscoring its pivotal role in India’s sustainable energy mission. The project ensures reliable power supply to Western Central Railways and Madhya Pradesh Power Management Co. Ltd.
Deepesh Nanda, CEO of TPREL, remarked, “This project exemplifies innovation and sustainability, contributing significantly to India’s renewable energy goals.”

Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy department praised the initiative for its cost-effectiveness and technological excellence, reinforcing the region’s energy infrastructure.
With this achievement, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited’s total renewable capacity now stands at 10.9 GW, including operational and under-development projects, further cementing its position in the renewable energy sector.
