Tata Elxsi, DENSO Robotics Europe, and AAtek have jointly inaugurated the ‘Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab’ in Frankfurt. This cutting-edge facility is set to revolutionize sectors like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and food science with advanced automation solutions.
The lab focuses on proof-of-concept (POC) development, full-scale robotic implementations, and AI-driven analytics for applications such as personalized medicine, sterile handling, and diagnostics. It also supports hospital lab automation and drug discovery.

Equipped with modular and high-precision systems, the facility offers product design, engineering, platform development, and regulatory compliance services. Researchers, startups, and students from the Frankfurt Innovation Center and the Hessen region are also welcomed to collaborate.
Key leaders, including Manjunath Kulkarni of Tata Elxsi, Arun Damodaran of AAtek, and Dirk Schöffler of DENSO Robotics, celebrated the launch. The lab symbolizes a synergy of Japanese innovation, German precision, and Tata Elxsi’s expertise.
“This collaboration strengthens our ability to deliver end-to-end solutions for Industry 4.0,” said Damodaran. Schöffler emphasized DENSO’s role in crafting innovative solutions for global challenges.
The Frankfurt lab marks a pivotal milestone, with expansion plans targeting the USA and India, reinforcing its role as a global leader in healthcare automation.
