January 01, 2025 – South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited (SWPE), a leading integrated drilling and exploration service provider in India, has been awarded a ₹158 crore contract extension for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) production drilling from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). This extension, based in Madhya Pradesh, doubles SWPE’s current operations with the deployment of additional rigs, equipment, and manpower.
The contract includes provisions for three further six-month extensions, reinforcing SWPE’s strong medium-to-long-term business prospects. Over the past 14 months, SWPE has successfully executed the first phase of the project, building on its past collaborations with RIL.

Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Vikas Jain shared his optimism, stating, “This extension will nearly double our revenue from RIL. With a record-breaking order book of ₹495 crore across 15 projects, SWPE is poised for continued growth.”
Joint Managing Director Mr. Piyush Jain added, “The extended CBM contract is set to generate additional revenue from Q2 FY 2025-26, marking the first time all SWPE verticals will operate simultaneously.”
SWPE’s comprehensive operations include drilling for coal and minerals, CBM production, seismic mapping, and aquifer studies, positioning it as a leader in India’s non-conventional energy sector.
