Jaipur, Rajasthan – November 07, 2024 – Saboo Sodium Chloro Limited (SSCL) has successfully commissioned the expanded solar power plant at its Nawa refinery in Sambhar Lake, Rajasthan. This marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
The newly commissioned 150 kW of solar power has been integrated with the existing 500 kW solar facility, bringing the total capacity to 650 kW. The expansion, completed on November 6, 2024, is now fully operational and supplying stable electricity to the refinery.

Cost Savings and Energy Efficiency
With the added solar capacity, SSCL will generate more in-house energy, leading to an estimated INR 40,00,000 in annual savings on energy costs. The plant’s increased solar capacity will help meet a larger portion of the refinery’s energy needs, boosting operational efficiency.
