November 06, 2024 – SpiceJet, a leading Indian low-cost airline, is expanding its domestic network with the launch of eight new flights starting November 15, 2024. This new wave of routes adds to the airline’s winter expansion strategy, enhancing connectivity between key cities across India.
New Routes Enhance Regional Access
The new flights will connect:
- Jaipur with Varanasi, Amritsar, and Ahmedabad
- Ahmedabad with Pune
This expansion follows SpiceJet’s recent launch of 32 new flights in October, which included two international routes from Delhi to Phuket. The addition of these routes aligns with the airline’s strategy to increase connectivity between metropolitan and regional cities, especially in Tier-II markets.

Boost to UDAN Regional Flights
In October, SpiceJet also added routes under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme, which included flights connecting Shivamogga in Karnataka with Chennai and Hyderabad. The airline has also introduced double daily flights between Chennai and Kochi, enhancing travel options in Southern India.
“We are excited to announce the launch of new flights from Jaipur to Varanasi, Amritsar, and Ahmedabad, as well as from Ahmedabad to Pune,” said Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet. “These new flights reflect our commitment to supporting passenger demand across tier‐II cities and beyond, while our expanded winter schedule offers greater convenience, affordability, and seamless travel experiences.”
78-Seater Q400 Aircraft on New Routes
The airline will operate 78-seater Q400 aircraft on these new routes, providing efficient and comfortable travel for passengers. Bookings for these routes are now open on SpiceJet’s website, mobile app, and various travel portals.
SpiceJet’s Expanding Winter Network
With these new additions, SpiceJet’s winter schedule continues to grow, emphasizing both domestic connectivity and select international routes. This expansion is expected to meet the rising travel demand during the winter season, providing travelers with a broader range of affordable flight options.
