RMC Switchgears Limited has secured a significant ₹90 crore LOA to supply, install, and commission 5,000 solar pumps in Maharashtra. The order, awarded by a reputed system integrator, includes 3HP, 5HP, and 7HP solar pump systems and is expected to conclude by FY25-26.
Key Development for Clean Energy Goals
This order highlights RMC’s role in supporting Maharashtra’s clean energy program, which aims to deploy 1.5 million solar pumps with an investment of ₹100 billion. So far, over 100,000 solar pumps have been installed across the state, showcasing tremendous potential in the renewable irrigation sector.

The development follows RMC’s recent investment of ₹100 crore to set up a solar module manufacturing plant in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This plant will reduce external dependencies and support large-scale projects, like the solar pump initiative in Maharashtra.
