Delhi, November 18, 2024: PG Electroplast Ltd. (PGEL), a leader in electronic manufacturing and plastic molding, has announced its entry into electric vehicle (EV) and lithium-ion battery manufacturing. This move is through its subsidiary, PG Technoplast Pvt. Ltd., which has signed an exclusive agreement with Spiro Mobility, a major EV player in Africa.
Under the agreement, PG Technoplast will handle EV and battery assembly and manage manufacturing facilities, parts procurement, and component production. Spiro will focus on research, development, marketing, and sales of the vehicles made by PG Technoplast.
Speaking on the development, Vishal Gupta, Managing Director (Finance) of PGEL, expressed optimism. “This partnership marks a new growth chapter for PGEL. With Spiro’s expertise, we aim to become a key player in India’s EV market,” he said.
