Nokia has landed a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar contract extension from Bharti Airtel to deploy cutting-edge 4G and 5G equipment across key regions in India.
The deal underscores Nokia’s commitment to supporting Airtel’s network evolution towards 5G Advanced technologies. The telecom giant will leverage Nokia’s AirScale portfolio — including base stations, baseband units, and advanced Massive MIMO radios, powered by the energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip.
Airtel’s network will also integrate Nokia’s MantaRay Network Management solution for AI-driven monitoring and optimization. This will ensure seamless connectivity and efficient resource management.
