In just 24 hours, the system blocked 1.35 crore spoofed calls, which is 90% of all international calls posing as Indian numbers. These fake calls are often used for financial scams and impersonation. This new system is a step towards protecting citizens from cyber fraud.

People are encouraged to report any suspicious calls to DoT’s Chakshu service.
