BENGALURU, OCTOBER 24, 2024 – NAMTECH and ABB Robotics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the School of Robotics, opening in 2025. This strategic partnership aims to enhance robotics education, aligning with India’s growth in automation and industry integration.
As part of ABB Robotics’ global commitment to address the education gap in automation, the collaboration will provide students with the necessary skills for the future of work. ABB Robotics will leverage its expertise and global network to support the initiative with cutting-edge resources and innovative academic collaborations.

Subrata Karmakar, President of ABB India‘s Robotics & Discrete Automation Division, emphasized, “This partnership will equip Indian students with the skills to succeed in the era of automation, supporting India’s manufacturing sector’s continued growth.”
The School of Robotics will be one of NAMTECH’s five educational hubs, with a curriculum that blends academic theory with practical, industry-focused learning, positioning India as a global leader in advanced robotics education.
