Medanta, a leading healthcare provider in North and East India, has signed an agreement with Dr. Narayan Dutt Shirmali Foundation International Charitable Trust Society to operate and manage a new 750-bed super-specialty hospital in Pitampura, New Delhi.
Expansion Into New Delhi’s Healthcare Market
The hospital, which will span seven acres in Pitampura, will serve the densely populated areas of Northwest and West Delhi. Construction is expected to take around four years, following necessary approvals.

Investment and Infrastructure
Under this agreement, the Society will handle the hospital’s structural development, while Medanta will invest Rs. 600 crores in equipment, fitouts, and furnishings. The project is set to be funded through internal accruals and debt.
Medanta’s Long-Term Vision
Medanta’s Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Naresh Trehan, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “This agreement allows us to extend high-quality care to Delhi communities, enhancing our presence in the region.”
