Maruti Suzuki Unveils e VITARA, Its First Electric SUV at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

20th December 2024 – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), India’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, is set to revolutionize the electric mobility space with its first electric SUV, the e VITARA. The vehicle, part of the company’s eBorn lineup, will debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Built on the specialized HEARTECT-e platform for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), the e VITARA promises a superior driving experience with cutting-edge technology and advanced safety features. The SUV, a global model manufactured in India, was recently unveiled by Suzuki Motor Corporation in Milan, Italy.

A Vision for Sustainable Mobility

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. “The e VITARA is a testament to our unwavering focus on sustainable mobility. Alongside this revolutionary product, we are creating a robust EV ecosystem to simplify the ownership journey.”

Maruti Suzuki aims to address one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption—accessible charging infrastructure. The company plans to launch home charging solutions and establish a nationwide fast-charging network at its dealerships and service centers.
