Hyderabad — November 5, 2024: L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad has launched a cutting-edge ticketing solution using Rich Communication Services (RCS) in collaboration with Route Mobile and Billeasy E Solutions. This new system allows commuters to purchase metro tickets directly through RCS chat and save them in Google Wallet.
The integration promises a more convenient and efficient travel experience. Commuters can now book e-tickets easily without waiting in long lines at stations. RCS replaces traditional SMS with interactive features like information cards and suggested replies, making the ticketing process smoother.
To access this service, passengers need to scan a QR code and send a simple ‘Hi’ via RCS messaging on the Google Messages app. They can then select their travel details and make secure payments via UPI. After booking, tickets are instantly stored in Google Wallet for easy access.
