Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), part of Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL), has acquired Log9’s Railway and Electric Truck Battery divisions. This strategic move strengthens JEM’s role in electric mobility, especially in the electric truck and railway sectors in India.
Details of the Acquisition
JEM will now manage Log9’s technology, business assets, and a manufacturing plant located in Bangalore. This acquisition also brings Log9’s skilled engineering and production teams to JEM, enhancing its battery expertise. This addition helps JEM make in-house batteries for electric trucks and improves its role in the electric vehicle market.
Focus on Electric Trucks
With Log9’s technology, JEM will be able to produce battery solutions for electric light commercial vehicles (eLCVs). This move supports JEM’s mission to expand its electric truck offerings and compete in the growing electric vehicle market.

Expansion into Railways
This acquisition also supports Jupiter’s growth in the railway battery sector. JEM recently secured an order for Vande Bharat train batteries in partnership with Siemens. This collaboration highlights JEM’s commitment to India’s railway electrification.
