November 26, 2024 – Interarch Building Product Limited (BE Code: 544232, NSE: INTERARCH), a leader in pre-engineered buildings (PEB) and steel structures, has announced key expansions to enhance its production and innovation capabilities.
The company has commenced construction of Phase 2 of its South India manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, following the successful launch of Phase 1 in September 2024. The new phase, mirroring Phase 1’s capacity, is expected to be operational by April 2025. This expansion is set to significantly boost Interarch’s installed capacity in the region.
Simultaneously, Interarch is upgrading its Kichha plant in Uttarakhand, its second-largest enhancement since 2021. The upgrade will add 20,000 metric tons of capacity, enabling the facility to handle heavy steel structures and multi-story buildings. With these developments, the company’s total annual installed capacity is projected to surpass 200,000 metric tons by 2025.
In a move to foster innovation, Interarch has also launched a Research and Development (R&D) and Innovation Centre in Chennai, led by Engr. M. Rajan, an expert with over 24 years in the steel structures industry. The centre will deliver advanced engineering solutions for industries such as heavy construction, commercial buildings, and data centers. It is also expected to reduce project timelines by 30% and provide training for engineering teams nationwide.
