Gateway Distriparks Limited (GDL) has officially launched its Double Stack Rail services at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Faridabad. This development makes ICD Faridabad the first and only location in the region to offer these advanced rail services.
Direct Connectivity to Major Seaports
The new Double Stack services provide significant competitive advantages by connecting directly to major seaports such as Mundra, Pipavav, and Nhava Sheva. This connectivity is facilitated through the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), enhancing logistics efficiency.

This strategic enhancement positions Gateway Distriparks as a pioneer in the logistics sector. With the addition of ICD Faridabad, GDL now operates Double Stack services at three hubs, including its facilities in Gurgaon and Viramgam. All three are connected via the WDFC.

The introduction of Double Stack Rail services at ICD Faridabad will improve the carrying capacity of GDL’s 34 trainsets. It will also streamline container movement from other ICD locations, thus enhancing overall productivity.
