Cyient and Allegro MicroSystems Open Innovation Hub for Auto Industry in Hyderabad

New facility to accelerate development of advanced sensors and semiconductors

Hyderabad, November 15, 2024 – Cyient, a global engineering services company, has expanded its partnership with Allegro MicroSystems, a leader in power and sensing solutions. Together, they launched a new Center of Excellence (CoE) at Cyient’s Manikonda Campus in Hyderabad.

The CoE will focus on creating cutting-edge magnetic sensors and power semiconductors for the automotive sector. These components are critical for electric vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and other modern applications.

The facility, inaugurated by Allegro MicroSystems CEO Vineet Nargolwala, will house over 100 skilled engineers specializing in areas like post-silicon validation, analog design, and embedded systems. This partnership aims to leverage India’s growing talent pool to develop innovative products faster and more efficiently.

“The growing automotive market in India offers tremendous opportunities,” said Nargolwala. “This CoE will drive innovation in magnetic sensors and power semiconductors, supporting our vision for a safer, sustainable, and autonomous future.”

Krishna Bodanapu, Cyient‘s Executive Vice-Chairman, emphasized that the collaboration strengthens Cyient’s position in semiconductor development.

This milestone highlights both companies’ commitment to advancing automotive technologies while supporting sustainable energy and e-mobility trends.
