Ahmedabad, December 2, 2024: Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Portfolio, has taken a significant step towards achieving its Net Zero goals by partnering with Finland-based Coolbrook to adopt its advanced RotoDynamic Heater™ (RDH™) technology. This collaboration aims to decarbonise the cement manufacturing process by minimising reliance on fossil fuels.
The RDH™ technology uses renewable electricity to produce high temperatures, critical for cement kiln pre-calciners, without carbon emissions. This innovation will help Ambuja Cements replace conventional fuels with a sustainable alternative, cutting costs and emissions.
Ajay Kapur, CEO – Cement Business, Adani Group, remarked, “Our partnership with Coolbrook reinforces our commitment to sustainability and decarbonisation across the value chain. By leveraging the Adani Group’s green energy capabilities, we aim to deliver the best value while significantly reducing fossil fuel use.”
