Mumbai, October 21, 2024: Bharti Airtel, a leading telecom provider in India, has become the first to offer uninterrupted 5G connectivity across Mumbai Metro’s new Line-3.
This metro line, also known as the Aqua Line, connects the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey through the crucial Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR).

Airtel has strategically upgraded its network along the 33.5 km route, ensuring passengers enjoy seamless internet and voice services throughout their journey. CEO Aditya Kankaria stated that Airtel‘s investment in 5G will enhance the commuting experience as the city embraces underground metro transportation. The ten new stations, including Terminal 2 and Santacruz, now offer dedicated 5G in-building solutions, providing crystal-clear calls and blazing-fast data to commuters.
With this innovation, Mumbai’s first underground metro system is set to transform urban travel, ushering in an era of high-tech convenience.
