Agra/Meerut, October 18, 2024: Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom providers, has turbocharged its network in Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttarakhand. The company announced today that it has completed deploying additional spectrum across all 40 districts in these states, aimed at significantly improving both voice and data services.
Improved Connectivity for Customers
The newly deployed 5MHz on the 2100 MHz band enhances Airtel’s 4G and 5G network capacities. This will allow customers in cities like Agra, Meerut, Aligarh, Dehradun, and more to enjoy faster browsing speeds and improved indoor coverage. The upgrades are expected to enhance customer experience in both urban and rural areas, offering better connectivity inside homes and buildings.
Expanded Coverage on Highways and Rail Routes
In addition to better coverage in populated areas, Airtel has extended its network along highways and rail routes, addressing the rising demand for reliable connectivity. The expansion also increases its presence in rural regions, which have been witnessing an exponential growth in data usage.

Airtel’s Commitment to Excellence
Sovan Mukharjee, CEO of Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttarakhand, Bharti Airtel, said: “Airtel’s commitment to superior network performance is unwavering. With the integration of this new spectrum, customers across the state can now enjoy enhanced call connectivity, faster data speeds, and an overall improved performance.”
Leading in Spectrum Holdings
In the recently concluded spectrum auction, Bharti Airtel secured 97 MHz of spectrum, reacquiring its expired holdings and expanding its Sub-GHz spectrum. With the largest pool of mid-band spectrum across the 900, 1800, 2100, and 2300 MHz bands, Airtel is well-positioned to meet the increasing demand for high-speed data services, particularly with the roll-out of 5G.
The company is also re-farming its mid-band spectrum to further boost 5G services, ensuring customers experience the best in data and voice connectivity across Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttarakhand.
