ACME Solar Holdings Limited has secured a 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in an e-reverse auction conducted by NHPC on December 10, 2024. The winning tariff for the project was set at INR 4.56 per unit, showcasing competitive pricing in the renewable energy sector.
This project includes a green-shoe option, potentially expanding its capacity to 500 MW. With this success, ACME Solar’s total renewable energy capacity now reaches an impressive 6,970 MW.
The NHPC auction, titled “Supply of 1200 MW FDRE (Assured Peak Power Supply) from ISTS-Connected Renewable Energy Power Projects Coupled with ESS (Tranche VI)”, aims to integrate solar, wind, and energy storage systems (ESS) to ensure four hours of peak power supply. This initiative enhances grid stability and meets India’s rising energy demands.

Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, highlighted the strategic importance of the win, stating:
“This win takes our portfolio to ~7 GW and strengthens our long-term commitment to NHPC with 930 MW of assured peak capacity. We look forward to leveraging our CTU connectivity in Rajasthan and Gujarat for this project, targeting COD by FY 2027-28.”
