Mumbai, November 12, 2024: L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions has received a “Limited Notice to Proceed” (LNTP) from NTPC Ltd. to initiate major thermal power projects in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. This milestone marks significant progress in India’s energy sector, with L&T leading the setup of advanced, high-capacity power plants.
Projects at Gadarwara and Nabinagar
The orders focus on the development of two main-stage thermal power projects: a 2×800 MW plant at Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh, and a 3×800 MW plant at Nabinagar, Bihar. These ultra-supercritical projects will boost energy production, adding substantial capacity to India’s power grid.
Scope of Work and Project Highlights
L&T’s responsibilities include the design, engineering, and installation of critical components—boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators, and auxiliaries. The company will manage mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil works to bring these large-scale projects to completion.
