Jaipur, November 9, 2024 – RMC Switchgears Ltd. has signed an important agreement with the Rajasthan government to create a massive solar energy project. This 1,000 MW Ultra Mega Solar Park will include battery storage, making it a first for the state. Located in Jaipur, this project is a key part of RMC’s plan to grow in the renewable energy sector.
The solar park will take 2-3 years to complete and is expected to start generating power by 2026. This project will help RMC reach its goal of building 1 GW of green energy projects, supporting India’s push for cleaner energy.

The solar park will also boost the local economy, creating about 2,000 direct jobs in Rajasthan. The state government has promised to provide all necessary approvals to make sure the project is completed on time.
RMC’s CEO, Mr. Ankit Agrawal, shared his excitement, saying this project will help India transition to greener energy and bring positive change to local communities. The solar park shows RMC’s dedication to supporting India’s green goals, including the national aim of reaching 450 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
