TCS Signs Multi-Year Deal with Air France-KLM to Boost Data-Driven Aviation

The partnership will enable Air France-KLM’s transformation into a cloud-native, AI-driven airline group.

MUMBAI, November 7, 2024 – Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services and business solutions, has signed a multi-year agreement with Air France-KLM. This deal will modernize the airline’s data systems, advancing it toward becoming the most data-centric airline group globally.

Transforming with Cloud Technology

As part of this transformation, TCS will move Air France-KLM’s data to the cloud, replacing traditional data centers. This shift will support sustainability and boost the airline’s adaptability, driving efficiency across operations. The new data infrastructure will also enhance decision-making and operational capabilities, ensuring smoother and more personalized experiences for passengers.

A 30-Year Partnership

TCS and Air France-KLM have worked together for three decades. From enhancing customer service and e-commerce to implementing award-winning mobile apps, the companies have shared many successes. TCS’s latest role will involve migrating critical systems and business data to the cloud, focusing on areas such as flight operations, passenger information, and aircraft maintenance.

Seamless Integration and Collaboration

The project will be led by more than 100 professionals across TCS delivery centers in France, the Netherlands, and India. The collaboration with Air France-KLM’s data teams in Toulouse will ensure the success of this significant transformation, with the first stage focusing on data accessibility within the first year.

A Legacy of Innovation

Krishnan Ramanujam, President of TCS Consumer Business Group, expressed pride in the long-standing partnership. “We’re eager to help Air France-KLM become the most data-driven airline group, setting new standards in aviation and customer experience,” he said.
