Afcons Infrastructure has been awarded the lowest bid for the construction of Package BH-05 for the Bhopal Metro Phase 1 project. This package involves the development of the 12.915 km Blue Line (Line-2), connecting Bhadbhada Chauraha to Ratnagiri Tiraha.
Afcons’ bid, totaling ₹1006.74 crore, was declared the lowest. The scope of work includes constructing the entire viaduct for the Blue Line, building 13 elevated stations, and creating a ramp leading to the Subhash Nagar Depot. This depot will also support the Orange Line (Karond Circle – AIIMS) for maintenance and stabling.

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MPMRCL) issued the bid, with funding provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB) through a €400 million loan. The project comes with a construction deadline of three years.
