Kaynes Technology Expands Global Reach with Sensonic Acquisition

Strategic move to revolutionize railway safety and efficiency through AI-driven solutions.

Mysuru, December 3, 2024 – Kaynes Technology India Limited, has taken a significant step toward enhancing global infrastructure technology by acquiring a 54% controlling stake in Sensonic GmbH, Austria. This move, facilitated through Kaynes’ subsidiary, Kaynes Holding Pte. Ltd, positions the Mysuru-based company at the forefront of railway innovation.

The acquisition integrates Sensonic’s cutting-edge fiber optic sensing technology with Kaynes Technology’s established expertise in electronics and IoT solutions. Sensonic, a leader in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), leverages AI and machine learning for real-time railway monitoring, covering track conditions, landslide alerts, and security threats.

Kaynes Managing Director, Ramesh Kunhikannan, highlighted this as a pivotal moment:
