Mysuru, Karnataka: The Government of India, under its Modified Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) scheme, has initiated efforts to boost the electronics manufacturing ecosystem by addressing infrastructure gaps. The initiative aims to create world-class facilities, including Ready Built Factory (RBF) sheds and Plug-and-Play units, to attract global electronics manufacturers and their supply chains to set up operations in the country.
In line with this vision, the Government of Karnataka, through the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), is developing an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in the Kochanahalli Industrial Area. Spanning 235.55 acres, this state-of-the-art cluster is designed to support advanced electronics manufacturing.

The project, estimated at ₹177.68 crore, will feature:
- Ready Built Factory (RBF) Sheds: Seven plug-and-play units of 4645 sq. meters each.
- Warehouse Building: A dedicated facility for supply chain efficiency.
- Administrative & Welfare Building: A three-story structure (5150 sq. meters) to support operations and employee welfare.
- Hostel Facility: Accommodation for workers with three floors covering 3510 sq. meters.
- Manufacturing Support Building: A two-story auxiliary production facility (3286 sq.
- meters).
