Dodla Dairy Expands in Maharashtra
On October 18, 2024, Dodla Dairy Ltd, one of India’s leading dairy companies, announced the acquisition of 35.23 acres of land in Itkal Village, Dharashiv District, Maharashtra. This move is part of Dodla’s plan to strengthen its presence in the state, where it already has a strong milk procurement setup.
Boosting Local Supply Chain
Currently, Dodla Dairy procures 2 lakh litres of milk per day from Maharashtra, which is processed at plants in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. With the newly acquired land, Dodla aims to build an integrated dairy plant in the Solapur district. This plant will not only increase milk processing capacity but will also allow the company to produce milk powder and condensed milk, improving efficiency and expanding its product range.
